Rotary Foundation

The mission of The Rotary Foundation is to enable Rotarians to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through the improvement of health, the support of education, and the alleviation of poverty.
The Foundation is a not-for-profit corporation supported solely by voluntary contributions from Rotarians and friends of the Foundation who share its vision of a better world. more details


Supports immunization campaigns in developing countries where polio continues to infect and paralyze children. After 25 years of hard work, Rotary and its partners are on the brink of eradicating this tenacious disease, but a strong push is needed now to root it out once and for all.

Group Study Exchange

Annual awards are made to paired Rotary districts to cover travel expenses for a team of non-Rotarians from a variety of professions. Rotarian hosts organize a four- to six-week itinerary of vocational, educational, and cultural points of interest. Since 1965, more than 57,000 individuals (almost 12,000 teams) from 100 countries have participated at a cost of more than $92 million. more details


Each year Rotary Youth Exchange provides around eight thousand young people worldwide with an opportunity to experience the cultures and accomplishments of people in other countries.

Rotary Australia World Community Service Ltd (RAWCS) assists Rotary Clubs develop and manage world community service projects.

Australian Rotarians participate in activities to improve the lives and living conditions of others and to promote international understanding and goodwill.

Rotary Clubs are active in supporting developing countries in our region in the fields of Health, Hunger, Education and other Humanitarian Aid programmes. RAWCS facilitates their work. More Details

Samaritan’s Purse Christmas Box Appeal

Samaritan’s Purse has changed the lives of children through Operation Christmas Child since 1993. Every year, people across the world lovingly pack shoe boxes with gifts and when a child opens a shoe box, they’re opening more than a present lovingly prepared just for them.

Wagga Wagga Peace Ceremony and Awards

Peace Communities are founded on the ideal of Community Service. The promotion and support of projects encouraging the rejection of violence, the resolution of conflict, and the promotion of community harmony are supported. Projects that advance tolerance, improve understanding and further peace within the home and neighborhood, are particularly important.


ShelterBox instantly responds to earthquake, volcano, flood, hurricane, cyclone, tsunami or conflict by delivering boxes of aid. Each box supplies an extended family of up to 10 people with a tent and lifesaving equipment to use while they are displaced or homeless More Details

School of St Jude

The School of St Jude is an independent sponsorship-supported school that provides education for Tanzanian children from the lowest socio-economic backgrounds. The school demonstrates leadership, promotes critical thinking and expects high moral values from its students, staff and the school community. An Australian, Gemma Sisia, originally from Guyra NSW, founded The School of St Jude in 2002. Read more

To improve the lives of orphans and vulnerable children affected by HIV/AIDS by providing nutrition, education and life skills thereby mitigating the consequences of the HIV/AIDS pandemic. Read more

Mountains of the Moon
