9th August, 2015

President's message

I hope everyone has had an enjoyable week and survived those chilly mornings.  Your board has a busy time ahead as we are expanding this week's board meeting to include our normal club meeting time.  This will provide plenty of time for planning and ensuring our club is meeting our expectations  and responsibilities and will remain a vibrant and exciting club for our members, community and Rotary.  Therefore if you are not a board member or hold and Avenues of Service Chair position you are not required to attend.

The following week, 19th of August , however is a very important meeting and it would be wonderful if as many members as possible were to attend.  This is a chance to meet or District Governor Gina Growden and to learn firsthand more about our District.

Don't forget the 21st August is our Golf Day and a special invitation is issued to all Rotarians who are not playing to join us for lunch from 12:30pm.  The cost is just $20 per head but I must have numbers by this Wednesday 12th August for catering.  If you would like to join us for dinner please CLICK HERE to let me know.

President Elect Steve and I have just completed the Rotary Leadership Institute Course and I can highly recommend it to anyone who wants to learn more about Rotary.  I can assure you that you will be blown away with what you learn about our organisation.  Just ask me if you would like to find out how to take part.

 Until next time

Yours in Rotary

Jenny Abourizk
