President's Message

A heartfelt thank you to everyone that completed the recent survey. Your input has been invaluable in helping plan our year ahead.  Your Board and I have taken the results very seriously and you will see them reflected in the plans and in the running and organisation of our club. If you would like to see the results of the survey in detail click HERE.

Our first meeting of the new Rotary year was a forum that went through and discussed the survey results, looked at the draft program for the first three months of this year and sought volunteers to serve on the various club committees.  Thanks to those that volunteered but we are still looking for more so please give it some serious thought.

I am passing on a plea from our dinner organiser Graham Steel that you let him know your attendance intentions and meal selection each week.  It is very difficult to organise the meeting if we have no idea who is coming and what they would like to eat.  To make this as easy as possible there is a link in this newsletter each week that lets Graham know your intentions.  If you could make submitting this a habit it would simplify the organisation of our meetings a great deal.

Having said that this week is an exception.  Because of the State of Origin game this Wednesday night so many of our members have made other arrangements or would like to watch from home that it was decided that we would cancel this week's meeting.

Until next time

Yours in Rotary

Jenny Abourzik

JULY 2015

We in Rotary aspire to great deeds. We admire those who gave great gifts to humanity: Abraham Lincoln, who gave the gift of human dignity to the downtrodden; Mother Teresa, who gave the gift of compassion to the forgotten; Mahatma Gandhi, who gave the gift of peaceful change to the oppressed. Their very lives became gifts to the world.
