President's Message

What a wonderful Rotary night we experienced with our guests Sudip Koirala, District Governor and Rotarians from Wyong and The Entrance Clubs. The return of Kylie Twyford made the night extra special.

Jan Prior had the pleasure of introducing Didi Foundation co-founder - Sudip Koirals from Nepal. For some time Jan had been updating us about us about the Foundation yet to hear first hand from fellow Rotarian Sudip made us appreciate the dedication and maturity of this young man and their amazing volunteers. Rotary and the Didi Foundation are as one in making changes in the community.

May I bring to your attention and support for the upcoming Charity Golf Day on Friday 27 October starting with 7am breakfast. I will be attending to support Jenny in whatever way possible. Hoping you can also spare the day as this is a significant activity for Rotary and Ronald McDonald House

Regards & blessings

David Knight

President 2017/18

Rotarian & Founder of Didi Foundation Nepal - Jan Pryor

Presents CEO Sudip Koirala - Director Didi Foundation Nepal

Twenty Five (25) members and guests enjoyed an inspirational and heartfelt presentation given by Sudip. Jan Pryor and the rest of the Didi team should be proud of what they are achieving in Nepal. For a small club RCNT should hold its head up high for the support given to our two international projects. Proud to be a Rotarian.

District 9685 RAWCS Quarterly Meeting

At Diggers The Entrance

RAWCS District 9685 chair Jan Pryor informs us that this will be one of the largest meetings with over 100 Rotarians & partners from INDIA attending and when you include the RAWCS members we will have around 200 people. Our chance to show our visitors some good old fashioned Central Coast hospitality.

We urge all RCNT members to attend the dinner on Saturday night and also any RAWCS session on the 2 days, a good opportunity to learn a bit more about RAWCS and what happens on our International projects.

We will supply more information when it becomes available.

This Week's Humour

Golf  .......

If you find you do not mind playing Golf in the rain, the snow, even during a hurricane, here's a  valuable tip ........ your life is in trouble.

Golfers who try to make everything perfect before taking the shot rarely make a perfect shot

 A 'gimme' can best be defined as an agreement between two golfers ... neither of whom can putt very well.

 An interesting thing about Golf is that no matter how badly you play, it is always possible to get worse.

Golf's a hard game to figure. One day you'll go out and slice it and shank it, hit into all the traps and miss every green. The next day you go out and for no reason at all you really stink.

 If your best shots are the practice swing and the 'gimme putt', you you might wish to reconsider this game.

Golf is the only sport where the most feared opponent is you.

Golf is like marriage, If you take yourself too seriously it won't work, and both are expensive.

 The best wood in most amateurs' bags is the pencil.
