President's Message

Hi All,

Congratulations to Bruce, Deb, Dave and all those that helped out on Wednesday Night at the primary Citizenship awards. It was a great night that was well organised and ran like clockwork and I think our earliest finish for a few years, well done to all concerned. To Gavin and Raylee thanks for coming on board as our sponsors and hope you enjoyed the night.

Thanks to Bruce, Lorelle, Rasik, Roshni, Jan, Peter, Sally who along with myself attended the foundation night held at the breakers country club. It was a good night where we able to see how well the money donated to Foundation is spent. Our foundation rates in the top couple of percentages for charity organisation that deliver most of the money raised to charity work and not let it get eaten up by admin costs. Something very important to consider when making a donation to other charities.

Well the year is quickly coming to a close with a few things still to do as listed below. Please make yourselves available for these events please.

1)      Christmas tree sale Sat 3rd, Sun 4th and again Sat 10th and Sun 11th. Please contact Torin and give some time to help out and DON’T leave it all to the same old people who do everything it won’t take much of your day and believe it or not is a lot of fun.

2)      AGM  Wednesday 7th Dec 2016 YOUR ATTENDANCE is required at this important meeting as there are some changes to the club constitution  that you will be required to vote on that Peter has already sent you so you can make your decision.

3)      Last event for the year is the Club Christmas Party which will be the 14th Dec. Everyone has been sent the invite please respond ASAP so we can see if we have enough numbers to hold the night.

This is Foundation month and we were hoping to have a few more Centurion by now please consider becoming one. At the last board meeting it was decided to donation  $26.50 for each member that would match the first ever donation made to the foundation 100 years ago, this money came out of our general account.

Peter should have already sent out some changes to the constitution that will need to be voted on at the AGM, if you are not sure what the changes mean or have any questions please bring it up at a meeting or send me or Peter and email and we will try and answer that for you. Also coming out will be a questionnaire that will need to be filled out by ALL club members please regarding the Club Visioning day that was postponed until next year. This information is important in making the day a success for the club.

Enough waffle from me for now look forward to seeing those who can make it on Wednesday or see you next meeting night 7 Aug 2016 AGM. Board meeting first at 5.30pm sharp for all board members.

Kind Regards

Yours in Rotary
