President's Message

Hi all,

First may I congratulate Jenny and her team for a hugely successful GOLF DAY an amazing effort to raise some $27,000.00 dollars on the day. The hard work put into this event by Jenny, Camey and the team from Family Chips is just amazing, the prize etc that were on offer for day were wonderful. Thanks also to those club members and friends who either donated or help on the day of which there are many. It will be a great pleasure to hand over some $13,500.00 dollars to Ronald Mc Donald house. The other $13,500.00 will go in to the cubs community account to use as we see fit.

Thanks to Julie from Max Potential very interesting talk on their programme for young people, I think many of our members if they had the time would make great coaches for these kids. If you are interested in becoming a coach for this programme please let me know and I will give you the info required.

Lots of important things going on in the lead up to Christmas:

1)     3Oth November Primary Citizenship awards night. This is one of biggest nights of year and Bruce and his team have it all under control but your attendance and help on the night will be required and you are required to book and pay your $20.00 before the night otherwise it will cost you the same as everyone else. PLEASE GET ALONG THIS EVENT.

2)     Christmas tree sale Sat 3rd, Sun 4th and again Sat 10th and Sun 11th. Please contact Torin and give some time to help out and DON’T leave it all to the same old people who do everything it won’t take much of your day and believe it or not is a lot of fun.

3)     AGM  Wednesday 7th Dec 2016 YOUR ATTENDANCE is required at this important meeting as there are some changes to the club constitution  that you will be required to vote on that Peter has already sent you so you can make your decision.

4)     Last event for the year is the Club Christmas Party which will be the 14th Dec. Jenny has volunteered to organise a venue and woulld love some help. Please contact Jenny and offer your services.

This is Foundation month and we were hoping to have a few more Centurion by now please consider becoming one and then also we would like everyone to consider making a one off special donation of $26.50 each which would match the first ever donation made to the foundation 100 years ago.

Peter should have already sent out some changes to the constitution that will need to be voted on at the AGM, if you are not sure what the changes mean or have any questions please bring it up at a meeting or send me or Peter and email and we will try and answer that for you. Also coming out will be a questionnaire that will need to be filled out by ALL club members please regarding the Club Visioning day that was postponed until next year. This information is important in making the day a success for the club.

Kind Regards

Yours in Rotary
